BNAK is a national association that supports and empowers small and micro-enterprises across Kenya by providing access to resources, training, advocacy, and financial services.
Who can become a member of BNAK?
Any Kenyan operating a small or micro-enterprise—such as traders, artisans, service providers, or informal business owners—is eligible to join BNAK.
How do I register as a member?
You can register online through our website or by dialling our USSD code on your mobile phone. You’ll need basic details such as your ID number, business name, and phone number.
How much does membership cost?
Membership fees vary depending on your business category. A breakdown of registration and annual renewal fees is available on our Membership page.
Can I pay my membership fees via MPESA?
Yes. You can pay your registration and renewal fees securely using MPESA. Full payment instructions are provided on the website and through the USSD platform.
What services do I get as a member?
Members receive access to business training, mentorship, financial support opportunities, legal and policy advocacy, digital tools, and networking events.
How do I access the Member Portal?
With seven locations and over 400,000 square feet of warehouse space, IMS is well equipped to handle all sized aluminum, steel, and stainless steel order quantities. From selling one piece in our stores to delivering truckloads of metal to your location.
What if I don’t have a smartphone or internet access?
No problem! You can access key BNAK services through our USSD code on any mobile phone—no internet required.
Can I update my details after registration?
Yes. Once logged into the Member Portal, you can edit your personal and business information. If using USSD, certain changes may require support from our helpdesk.
Does BNAK offer loans or financial assistance?
Yes. Members who meet certain criteria can apply for business loans or grants. Loan application forms and guidelines are available in the Member Portal.
How does the USSD code work?
Dial the BNAK USSD code, follow the menu prompts to register, pay dues, check status, or request services. It works on all mobile networks and doesn’t need internet.
